Updated header image – The Gatekeeper

The Gatekeeper

This is a picture from Old Fort Niagara (on the Niagara River & Lake Ontario, just north of Niagara Falls) of one of the “Forts within the Fort.” The extra gate provided extra protection for the main gate of the Fort pictured here. IMG_3287_15

I have been thinking of updating my header image to something move “Release like” and when reviewing my latest photos I thought this would work well. The header image makes me think of the Gatekeeper function of Release Management, something I think about often but something I need to do a better job telling people I’m thinking about it. More on Gatekeeping later.

By the way, if you enjoy History and are in Western New York I’d recommend a trip to the Fort. The interesting thing about Old Fort Niagara is that it was controlled by three different countries over the years – France, England & the United States.
