I get emails from time to time announcing contract jobs and last week I received one for a 100% remote Release Manager. Outside of thinking it was funny that the pay depended on my location I wondered if that would work well. Skype, Google+ hangouts, chat, phone & email can do wonders when communicating but what would it be like being remote all the time?
This week I find myself in a position where I’ll actually find out what it feels like! With my wife on a trip and my son recovering from an appendix surgery I find myself being a remote Release Manager for my current job. I’ll blog about it next week but for now I’ll give you a chance to vote how you think it will turn out.
